Another day means yet another Wordle five-letter word puzzle to ponder over. Fans all over will be logging into the New York Times Games in order to try their hand at today's challenge, and some may need a little bit of help to get through it.

How To Play Wordle

As a quick note: Wordle was extremely popular back in early 2022. It's easy, simple setup and versatile rules made it ripe for cloning; there are tons of copycat apps and niche clones out there. The original version, and the subject of this article, is the New York Times version. This is only accessibly through the newspaper's games website, and Wordle is now playable through the New York Times Crossword app. Other versions will have different answers and might have slightly different rules of how to play than what is listed here.

First, players will need to choose a starting word. This word:

Must be five letters long.
Must be a real word.
Should have five different common letters in it.
Should not be a previous answer.
Should not be a plural noun ending in S.

Type the starting Wordle word into the site or app. Press enter. This will make the letters of the starter word to change colors, giving players some clues to the real answer. Here are what the colors mean:

Green = correct
Gray = incorrect
Yellow = the letter is right but in the wrong place in the word.

Keep trying new words and getting new clues until the right answer is guessed or players run out of their six total tries. Puzzles reset at midnight local time.
