Wordle is still played by many fans of word puzzles every day. While it is not anywhere near as popular as it was back before the New York Times bought it, Wordle is still a fun little daily challenge for many. And many of those long-time fans will want some help with hints or even just the full spoiler for today.

How To Play Wordle

Wordle went viral in early 2022, and this spawned a slew of copycats and clones. In order to make sure players are in the right place, here is where they should go: the original version of Wordle and the subject of this article is the New York Times version, and it can only be found on the New York Times Games site or its Crossword app. Other Wordles will have different answers and can even have slightly different rules.

First, choose a starting word. It should be five letters long, a real word, and not a proper noun. Players should also avoid previous answers and plural nouns ending in S. Keep in mind that the New York Times censored a lot of the offensive words out of the Wordle pool, so players should avoid those as well.
Type the starting word into the website or app, and press enter.
The letters will change colors.
Letters that become green are right, gray are wrong, and yellow letters are right but in the wrong location in the word.
Guess another word with those clues in mind, and it will give players new color-coded hints to the answer.
Players have a total of six tries to get the correct answer.
Puzzle reset daily at midnight local time.
