Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has a lot of optional areas that are easily missable if you're focused on seeing the main story and only heading to the major locations. While optional, going to and completing these optional areas is a great way to get additional items and strengthen your party for whatever challenges lie ahead.

One of the later-game optional areas is the Isle of the Eyes, which does have a puzzle to solve in order to fight the boss at the end of the island. To solve the puzzle, you'll need to find and destroy three eyes; here's where to find them all.

What to do on the Isle of Eyes in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

The Player Facing the Staircase on the Island

The Isle of the Eyes has no clear direction on what to do, but the main goal is to find and shoot the eyes hidden throughout the island. The first eye is fairly simple to find, starting from the flag, climb the stairs directly ahead, and look at the dead Nevron just to the right to find the first eye.

The Player Aiming at the First Eye

Head back down to about halfway on the staircase and look off to the right to drop down to the lower area. Heading straight, you'll see a cave opening to the left, with the next eye being in a Nevron hanging from the roof.

The Second Eye in the Cave

Head out of the cave and make a left, heading in the direction of the Petank. At the far end of the island from the cave, right next to where you corner the Petank, will be the final Nevron with the last eye. Destroying this final eye will open up a pathway behind from where you came for the final eye, leading to the boss of the island.

The Final Eye on the Isle of Eyes

Destroying eyes just requires you to shoot them with the Paint Shot.

Chromatic Boucheclier Tips and Rewards in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

The Player Facing the Chromatic Boucheclier

The Chromatic Boucheclier looks more intimidating than it really is, and has the following weaknesses:

  • Fire
  • Dark

The main attacks this boss will use are its sword combo and shield slam. The sword combo is fairly easy to read, and the subsequent attacks are slow for the entire combo. The Shield Slam just requires a Gradient block, so you'll be hoping for these to deal a lot of damage back. Aside from those attacks, it has a parry that it will prepare, but as long as you don't hit it with a melee attack, this ability is fairly useless.
