YouTube content creator Darren "IShowSpeed" Watkins has accidentally purchased a Roblox fedora for over $100,000 in what is a growing number of players spending exorbitant money on in-game items. Though IShowSpeed has been banned on Twitch, he maintains a dedicated following on YouTube which he livestreams on regularly, including during this memorable Roblox moment.IShowSpeed is known for doing big stunts and pranking his audience through YouTube uploads and streams as he grows in subscriber and view count. The popular YouTuber has fooled members of his audience with a fake Cristiano Ronaldo, has lit powerful fireworks off in his house, and has done a controversial IRL zoo livestream, but his antics haven't slowed down in the process. Although he seemingly intended to troll his audience by pretending to buy a Roblox fedora for a significant sum of money, IShowSpeed's plan backfired when things didn't happen as he intended.RELATED: YouTuber Arrested for Game and Anime Uploads A clip of IShowSpeed hilariously buying a Midnight Blue Sparkle Time fedora for 14 million Robux, Roblox's in-game currency, has gone viral by garnering over 32,000 likes from nearly 8 million views. Like many other YouTube content creators, IShowSpeed is known to dabble in Roblox from time to time, but according to the footage, he was unfamiliar with one key feature that may have saved him a lot of money. When he originally planned to tease his audience with a roughly $125,000 Roblox purchase, the popular YouTuber accidentally went through with it because he expected a verification check given the incredible sum of Robux on the line, leading to what seems like buyer's remorse.

The viral IShowSpeed Roblox clip starts with the YouTube content creator screaming "no" to himself repeatedly, eventually leading him to rub his face after slamming both hands on his desk multiple times. Stating that he'll have to refund the Roblox purchase, IShowSpeed then yells louder several times as YouTube Super Chats continue pouring in. Rocking back in his chair and grabbing his head with both hands before audibly smacking it, IShowSpeed then says, "oh my God. I thought it was going to ask for a verification," and asked his live YouTube audience why it didn't do so.

Because the Midnight Blue Sparkle Time Roblox fedora was released in 2013 with only 100 copies, many Roblox fans which seemingly include IShowSpeed have coveted the rare cosmetic over the years. Given that IShowSpeed was so perturbed by the lack of verification request for the massive purchase that rivals many other Roblox trades, it's likely that the popular YouTube content creator intended to backtrack on his decision if provided with the escape prompt that never came.

Roblox is available now for Mac, Mobile, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
