IShowSpeed could finally be coming to Fortnite, according to information accidentally leaked on stream by Kai Cenat. Several celebrities have become part of the roster of skins available in Fortnite. It all started with the Marshmello skin; he was the first one to be part of the Icon Series back in Chapter 1, and it has been growing ever since. From renowned artists, like Lady Gaga and Metallica, to streamers known all across the globe, such as SypherPK and Ninja, the Icon Series features an eclectic group of people.
The next known Icon Series collab is being added to Fortnite with the release of patch v37.20. Fortnite revealed that the Kai Cenat skin would be coming to the game with a huge announcement on the Sphere in Las Vegas on August 19. On Friday, September 12, players will be able to purchase the Kai Cenat skin alongside the rest of his cosmetic set once the Item Shop rotates at 8 PM ET.
MrBeast Asks Fortnite For a New Skin
Billionaire YouTuber MrBeast might want to return to Fortnite, suggests a request for another cosmetic item of himself in a social media shout-out.
Kai Cenat Shows Discord Chat Named "IShowSpeed x Fortnite Collab"
It seems that Kai Cenat may not be the only streamer making it into Fortnite in the near future. On September 9, while streaming, Kai Cenat opened Discord and went through some of his direct messages. While doing this, he apparently failed to notice that he had a group chat right at the top titled "IShowSpeed x Fortnite Collab," leading fans to believe that Fortnite and IShowSpeed could be working together to create a cosmetic set of the latter.
Of course, this could just be a group chat with a random name. When the Kai Cenat skin was announced, many fans commented on how much they wanted an IShowSpeed skin as well. This could've been Cenat's friends setting this up to tease him. However, it is also entirely possible that it is true; Kai Cenat could be helping the developers come up with a cosmetic set for Speed. It would make sense for Fortnite to collaborate with IShowSpeed, especially if the Kai Cenat collab does well, as the two are tight friends and share many members of their audience.
IShowSpeed is one of the most well-known streamers in the world, and surely many Fortnite players enjoy his content, as he has played the game on stream before, including with Kai Cenat. If the rumors turn out to be true, it's possible that the two skins could come out together, with IShowSpeed's skin released as a surprise to fans. Players who are curious to know more about this should keep an eye on upcoming leaks for v37.20 on September 10 and v37.30 on September 16.
