Is There a Build Limit In LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?

Yes, there is a build limit in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, which can restrict how much players can construct before performance is affected. If the build limit is exceeded, a warning will appear at the top of the screen that reads: "High Complexity Area! Remove builds or move away," and players may have their ability to build additional structures restricted within that specific area.

As the warning suggests, this limit is triggered when a specific area contains too many structures. There isn’t a fixed number of builds that activate the warning, however, and it is mainly affected by the complexity and density of builds that are close together. The build limit can also vary depending on the player’s hardware. For example, older-generation consoles or PCs are more likely to trigger the "High Complexity Area" warning with fewer builds compared to newer systems. Additionally, high item and drop placements also contribute to the build limit.

To avoid this issue, it’s best to limit overly complex structures within Villages and specific areas. That said, many players can build quite a lot without ever encountering the warning, so for some, the limit won’t be a frequent problem.

Is There a Limit On The Number Of Villages In LEGO Fortnite Odyssey?

In short, no—there is no limit to the number of Villages players can place in their LEGO Fortnite Odyssey world, as long as there’s enough space provided. However, there is a cap on the number of Villagers and animals that can be assigned across the world. Currently, the maximum number of Villagers a player can have is 55, while the limit for animals assigned to Villages is 50.

Since each Village can house up to 7 Villagers when fully upgraded, this means players can fully occupy 7 Villages, with an 8th Village having room for just 6 Villagers. For animals, there are fewer slots per base, so players can fill all animal slots across 16 Villages, with the 17th Village only able to house 2 more animals before hitting the cap. Of course, if players limit the number of Villagers and animals in each Village below the cap for each, they can get a lot more Villages with occupants in their world.
