Not all games are created equal and there are bound to be some terrible games no matter what console fans choose to play them on. No game designer sets out to make a bad game but bad games end up available for purchase regardless. The unlucky players that bought them can attest to it.

7 Death Come True [72]
FMV games can be quite hit or miss, just look at Night Trap. In the case of Death Come True, it is most certainly a miss. When the creator of Dragonropa announced they were working on a new game the excitement was palpable. The adventure presented with an amnesiac serial killer didn't live up to the hype. The game didn't allow players to actually make a significant difference in the story and if they wanted to be forced down a singular path, they would have simply watched a movie instead.
6 SINoAlice [58]
Square Enix is usually known for producing incredible games but SINoAlice missed the mark. This RPG was held up with localization issues and gameplay that reviewers found a bit stale. When not even adding in Nier Automata crossovers can bring the game some life, it's obvious the game is a bit of a flop. Still, players interested in a unique story of a dark fairy tale world might find this creation of Yoko Toro intriguing. They should just know the rest of what they are getting into.
5 Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall [58]
Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall was about as good as the end of the TV series. For those that haven't watched the show yet, that was a serious burn. Named after one of the most popular episodes in the series, this standard gatchapon RPG game left much to be desired. There are simply better games to play for fans of Game of Thrones.
4 Tales of Crestoria [58]
The Tales series has long been a popular franchise for Bandai/Namco. Ever since Tales of Phantasia released back in 1995 the series has been releasing a steady stream of positively received games.
Like many companies, Bandai/Namco wanted to try and get into the gatchapon craze but only managed to deliver a game fun for those already heavily invested in the Tales brand. Unless they are fans of the series, players are likely to be disappointed by this title.
3 A3: STILL ALIVE [51]
Sometimes Metacritic scores don't quite hit the mark. In the case of A3: STILL ALIVE they're remarkably accurate. This mobile MMORPG allows the game to play itself. Yes, a game that plays itself. While idle games do exist, this is a whole new level of boring. What is the point of a game that players don't actually play? Players will be more tempted to use this feature than not, making it a game best worth avoiding.
2 Forza Street [51]
Forza Street may be the worst game in the franchise. A spin wheel lottery to unlock cars is one thing but a patronizing system where players tap to accelerate and turn? Even Mario Kart Tour did better. With so many better Forza games to play, why try this one? It's best if racing fans avoid this one in the app store.
1 Tom Clancy's Elite Squad [46]
It might come as no surprise that a gatchapon game is one of the worst in 2020. So many studios try to do it right but developer Owlient didn't hit the mark. This free-to-play game is plagued by constant crashes which aren't worth fighting through with how dull the gameplay is. In the end, Elite Squad is a scar on an otherwise well-respected franchise.
