It’s hard to believe that Invincible just started in 2021 and now there are three seasons. The first season blossomed the “Think Mark” meme which exploded everywhere and has become the show’s identity. It’s hard to top a scene like that of father versus son, but the writers try diligently to turn up the heat and bring twists out of nowhere.

Invincible: 8 Things to Expect in Season 4

There are plenty of exciting things that fans can expect from Invincible Season 4 thanks to the comics of the same name.

It’s safe to say that no one remains dead long in this franchise. Season three of Invincible had some great lines beyond these twists. Can they top the “Think Mark” meme? Hard to say but let’s go through some funny and poignant lines regardless.

WARNING! Spoilers ahead.

8 “Believe It Or Not But Somebody Appears To Be Stealing The Declaration of Independence.“

Donald, Episode One

Donald and Cecil in Invincible Season 3

This is such a funny line in the first episode that invokes National Treasure vibes. Mark and Rex are talking to Cecil and Donald in the Pentagon when Donald gets a call on his headset. No one could have imagined the Declaration of Independence was going to be stolen that day.

The reason why isn’t detailed until episode four when Mark gets dragged into the future by two brothers who need him to kill The Immortal who has gone AWOL. The brothers stole the Declaration of Independence because there was a rumor the ink, if melted down into a bullet, could kill The Immortal which obviously turned out to be false.

7 “Things Change.“

Doc Seismic, Episode One

Doc Seismic in Invincible Season 3

Doc Seismic has been a joke in the series since it began in 2021. He has some basic technology that allows him to create fissures in the Earth. It’s not a bad gadget but compared to other superpowers and heroes in general in Invincible, Doc Seismic was like a joke.

That is until he kidnaps every superhero in the U.S. And tries to kill them underground in the first episode. When Invincible confronts him about how he used to be a minor threat, Doc Seismic replies with this change line with a vicious smile. In the end, Doc Seismic is defeated, of course, wiping that confidence away.

6 “There’s Always A Bigger Thumb.“

Machine Head, Episode Five

Machine Head in Invincible Season 3

In season two, Invincible helps Titan usurp a criminal organization from under Machine Head. Titan becomes the new leader and cleans up the city with everyone going fine until he sees someone from The Order come knocking in this season.

Invincible: Most Important Arcs the Show Hasn't Covered Yet

There are countless more story arcs from the Invincible comics still to come in the animated series, and here are the most important of them all.

Mister Liu is a metal-jawed villain who can transform into a dragon, threatening to eat Titan if he doesn’t break Multi-Paul out of jail. Titan goes to jail not to break Multi-Paul out, but to ask Machine Head for advice on how to proceed which is quite daring given what he did to him last season. Machine Head is blunt with his reply, reminding Titan that someone is always in charge of someone else as a sly reference to Jaws.

5 “Oh F***.”

Rex, Episode Two

Rex in Invincible Season 3

The relationship between Invincible and Cecil gets strained in episode two when Cecil sends attack drones to fight Invincible if he doesn’t leave the Pentagon. Besides that, Cecil also has a sound device that can neutralize Invincible through sonic waves.

The fight eventually leads to the headquarters of the Global Defense Agency wherein Invincible begs them to help get the sound device out of his head. After a bloody battle against some more drones, Cecil caves leaves Invincible alone, and teleports out of the HQ. After all is said and done, all Rex can think to say is a swear which perfectly sums up the chaotic situation.

4 “You Can Be The Good Guy Or The Guy Who Saves The World…You Can’t Be Both.“

Radcliffe, Episode Two

Radcliffe in Invincible Season 3

The second episode is significant beyond the fight between Invincible and Cecil. Viewers get to dive into Cecil’s past before becoming the director of the United States’ secret underground defense force.

After events lead to him getting jailed, the then director, Radcliffe, pays Cecil a visit in prison. He offers Cecil his job but he refuses initially which is when Radcliffe says this line. In a roundabout way, it’s a reminder that sometimes good guys have to do bad things to save people.

3 “Invincible!”

Powerplex, Episode Six

Powerplex in Invincible Season 3

Over the years, the show has played with the title card in every episode of the show. One of the funniest examples is in episode six of this season wherein Powerplex goes berserk, calling for Invincible to show up. Every time he says his name, the shows cut to a title card.

Every Episode Of Invincible Season 3, Ranked

Invincible has wrapped its third season, with a jaw-dropping finale, but how do the episodes of season three rank from worst to best?

It has to happen around a dozen times and gets funnier with every switch in perspective. Powerplex is such an unhinged character who has reasons to be mad at Invincible but maybe he will start to sway his opinion next season.

2 “That’s What Happens When You’re A Bad Guy.“

Oliver, Episode Three

Oliver in Invincible Season 3

Between the first few episodes, season three really has a lot of shocking moments early on. The end of episode three, for example, shows Oliver come in and save Invincible and other heroes from the Mauler Twins.

After summoning up enough strength, Oliver dashes through one of the Maulers, guts and all. When he kills the one, Oliver turns to his twin and says this line coldly while covered in blood and then proceeds to kill him too. To say it was unsettling does not begin to describe the scene but thankfully Oliver doesn’t go as chaotic in the rest of the season.

1 “I Can See The Future, You Don’t Live To See Tomorrow.“

Invincible, Episode Eight

Mark crying in Invincible Season 3

Atom Eve gets absolutely destroyed by Conquest in the final episode. This pushes Invincible to his breaking point, boosting his strength as he says this line to Conquest over what is presumed to be Atom Eve’s dead body.

Thankfully she doesn’t die, but her pain helps Invincible in the end regardless. The direct shot following this speech of Invincible destroying Conquest’s metallic arm is great and could become a great GIF to pass around until season four begins.
