Knowing how to heal your squad members in Infection Free Zone is crucial for survival. The post-apocalyptic environment can be hazardous, with numerous ways for your squad members to get injured and only a few ways to heal them. Therefore, it is vital to learn how healing works so that you don't lose valuable members of your small settlement trying to rebuild society. Below is a guide on how to heal squad members with First Aid Kits in Infection Free Zone.

Open the squad window to monitor your squad members' health. Red gradually covers their portrait as they lose their health, providing a quick visual cue of their remaining life. Moreover, you can hover your mouse over their picture to see the precise amount of life they have and how much they have lost due to injuries. Like reloading weapons, the process of healing your squad members is simple.

Here is how to heal squad members in Infection Free Zone:

  1. Left-click the First Aid Kit icon in your squad's inventory.
  2. Drag it over the portrait of your injured squad member.
  3. Release the mouse button, and the portrait will lose the red color as the squad member is healed.

Another way you can heal your squad members in Infection Free Zone is by sending injured squad members to a Medbay. However, before you can build a Medbay, you must adapt a building into a Research Center, find two scientific research books, and use them to research Medical Care, which will take 40 in-game hours. While this may seem like a lot of work, it is worth it because any assigned workers will heal your squad members' injuries over a specific time without needing First Aid Kits. In addition, you can improve the rate at which they heal and manufacture additional First Aid Kits to keep a steady supply.

While most games include a general healing item that magically fixes most wounds, some titles opt for realism over convenience.

You can search for buildings with question marks hovering over them to obtain First Aid Kits. You can also create First Aid Kits in Medbays, which we will explain below. However, if your squad members have stored your First Aid Kits in a storage building or vehicle after scavenging them, you cannot initially perform the above steps. To proceed, click on the Exchange button (represented by two arrows) in the squad window, choose your storage, perform the above steps from the storage space, or transfer the First Aid Kits to a slot in the squad window.

If you find yourself in a situation where you don't have any First Aid Kits left, and you're on the verge of losing a squad member you've become attached to, you can use cheat commands to add as many First Aid Kits to your inventory as needed. This way, you can return your squad members to full health and safely return them to your settlement. While you have the console open, you can add weapons to your inventory to assign weapons to your towers.
