One of the first missions the tutorial gives in Infection Free Zone is building a wooden tower to help protect your new HQ and buildings. These towers are surprisingly tough and provide extra protection outside your squads. This makes them super important, since you most likely won't always have a squad around your HQ should a horde of infected wander by.
However, the game doesn't tell you how to equip the workers assigned to the tower with weapons, so they can better slay these endless waves of infected hordes. Here's how to assign weapons to a Tower in Infection Free Zone.
How To Assign Weapons To A Tower In Infection Free Zone
By default, the workers assigned to your tower will automatically attack infected hordes as they attack your buildings with rudimentary weapons. However, you can make them kill hordes quicker by assigning them powerful weapons like the bow, pistol, machine gun, shotgun, and sniper rifle. Currently, these are the only weapons you can assign to a tower, but they do the job very well.
Here's how to assign weapons to a tower in Infection Free Zone:
- Place a weapon in the storage of your HQ building
- Click on the Tower in question
- Click on an Icon of the weapon you placed in your HQ
- Ensure that the icon is Blue
Most Devastating Conditions That Led To An Apocalypse In Games
Some of the most destructive apocalypses in fiction can be found in video games. These are some of the most iconic of the bunch.
After following these steps, one of the assigned workers will walk to your HQ and transfer the weapon to the tower. However, you must have the same number of firearms in your HQ storage as you have assigned workers to the tower. Otherwise, you will get a warning saying you don't have enough of a resource and only one of the workers will have a weapon to use.
Unfortunately, you cannot use different types of weapons simultaneously, so make sure to have multiple copies of the same weapon when following the procedure above. Sometimes it is better to have two pistols assigned instead of one assault rifle, for example. If you can't find another copy of a weapon you want to assign to a tower, you can use cheat codes to put it into your HQ building instantly.
In addition, you can assign up to 200 units of ammo to a tower in Infection Free Zone at one time. Ensure there is always a steady supply of ammo in your HQ storage, so the assigned workers can refill their stock and weapons when needed. Otherwise, the assigned weapons will be useless when protecting your base from dangerous infected hordes.
