A new rumor claims Indiana Jones and the Great Circle could be coming to PlayStation 5 in April, the same month that the once Xbox-exclusive Forza Horizon 5 is set to debut on the console. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released for Xbox Series X/S and PC back in December, with Microsoft already confirming its plans to bring the action-adventure game to PlayStation 5 in early 2025. However, we may now know the exact release month.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Could Hit PS5 in April

Microsoft has already confirmed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will come to PS5 this year, but The Verge's Tom Warren has now claimed that the hit action-adventure game from MachineGames is targeting an April release date. Previous rumors and leaks have already indicated that the title could be going multiplatform in the Spring, but if the latest rumor is to be believed, PlayStation 5 users will be able to check out Indy's latest adventure in the coming months.

Xbox's sudden shift to a multiplatform strategy has been controversial, but Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has previously defended Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's PlayStation 5 release. Back in 2024, Spencer said that Xbox's franchises "are as strong as they've ever been," but then explained that it is still a business. The studio head noted that the "bar is high" at Microsoft, which is why the studio has opted to bring more and more of its titles to its long term competitor. The multiplatform strategy kicked off in 2024 with the likes of Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and many more making their way to PlayStation 5, and there's still more to come.

It was only earlier this week that developer PlayGround Games took to social media to confirm Forza Horizon 5's PlayStation 5 release date. Fans were already well aware that Xbox's smash-hit racing game would be speeding onto PS5 this year, but the studio has now announced that it will be released on April 29, 2025. Those who purchase the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition will be able to get early access starting from April 25.
