According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been played by over four million people to date. The figure was given during Microsoft's latest earnings report, during which it was also announced that Game Pass had set a new quarterly revenue record, growing its PC subscriber base by over 30% thanks to both Indiana Jones and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. In fact, Microsoft was the top video game publisher in December 2024, generating over $465 million and pushing EA to second place.

Over Four Million People Have Played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This impressive player count is only expected to grow, as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on PS5 during the first half of 2025. While many initially believed that the title would be a PC and Xbox exclusive, in August 2024, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer explained that releasing the newest Indiana Jones game on PS5 was a business decision. The Xbox boss stressed his dedication to a multiplatform strategy going forward, which he believes will lead to additional brand growth and "stronger" games.

Given the title's rapid success, rumors have begun swirling that Disney wants more Indiana Jones games from MachineGames in the future. In late 2024, a LinkedIn post by a developer at the Swedish company implied that multiple projects were underway, though no concrete announcements have been made. Many speculate that MachineGames is working on a new Wolfenstein title, though this hasn't been confirmed.
