Indiana Jones 5 has yet to unveil its trailer (or its title), but that may soon be changing. Director James Mangold (also known for his work on Logan) has teased that an Indiana Jones 5 trailer will be coming within the month.

Indiana Jones 5 will be Harrison Ford's last turn as the famed archeologist. First appearing in 1981’s Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, the character will next appear in 2023’s Indiana Jones 5 in an as-yet undisclosed adventure. The plot is being kept heavily under wraps, but it is known that Mads Mikkelsen will star in Indiana Jones 5 and that Phoebe Waller-Bridge will have a large role to play in the film as well.

Responding to a fan on Twitter, Mangold said that the next piece of promotional material for Indiana Jones 5 would drop in “less than 30 days.” He did not say explicitly that this would be the trailer, nor did he give any hints as to what it may be. However, the trailer did debut earlier this year at D23, where Harrison Ford was emotionally presenting some footage for the film. A photo for Indiana Jones 5 was released at Star Wars Celebration in 2022, but it only featured Indy in silhouette.

Indiana Jones 5 is not the only new piece of Indiana Jones media coming out. Reportedly, the executives over at Disney Plus are looking to create an Indiana Jones TV series. Whether that show would be a prequel or spin-off, however, remains to be seen, as it’s currently in its very early stages of development. However, reports suggest Abner Ravenwood, father of Indy's love interest Marion Ravenwood, would be the focus of the Indiana Jones TV series.

While it’s possible that the next promotional material for Indiana Jones 5 will simply be a poster announcing the title of the movie, the trailer appears to be ready to go, and announcing the title of the film within a trailer seems like a better way to build up hype for the project than simply releasing the poster. In addition, the film is set to release on June 30, 2023, meaning that it’s about the right time to release the trailer.

If a trailer is released, fans will get to see Indy back in action after 15 years. His last film was 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which served as a contentious sequel in the franchise. Hopefully, Indy's last outing is action-packed, heartfelt, and a real crowd-pleaser. D23's look at the Indiana Jones 5 costumes and concept art did seem to show an impressive outing ahead.

Indiana Jones 5 hits theaters on June 30, 2023.
