A surprise reunion and musical appearance came about at the Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny Hollywood premiere, which not even the actors in the film expected. In a press tour filled with nostalgia and joy, the fifth and final installment of the action epic promises to recognize fans' loyalty through treats like this one.Fifteen years after the fourth film in the Indiana Jones franchise came out, Harrison Ford is dusting off his brown fedora and whip one last time in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The film follows the archeology professor as he embarks on a new quest against time to retrieve a dial that can change the course of history. Ford shares the screen with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who plays Indy's goddaughter, Helena Shaw. In their journey, the two battle with Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen), a former Nazi now working for NASA.RELATED: Indiana Jones 5: James Mangold Explains Why De-Aged Flashbacks Scenes Are Needed Ford has expressed several times that this will be his last time bringing the character to life. This is why one of the main focal points during the press tour was the nostalgia that naturally comes alongside the film. This is not a secret to fans of Indiana Jones, and it became even more apparent in the Hollywood premiere of Dial of Destiny, which saw probably the biggest reunion in the franchise. A new video from the event shows new Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan, who played Short Round in Temple of Doom when he was 12, sneaking up behind Ford to give him a heartfelt embrace. "You're all grown up," Ford told Quan as they hugged. Among the attendees were Indiana Jones creators Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, and longtime franchise producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

But there was one more surprise in the night. Before its showcase, Spielberg introduced the film's legendary Oscar-winning composer John Williams, who took the stage with a full orchestra to perform various scores, including the main theme and a new track titled "Helena's Theme," which was written specifically for Waller-Bridge's character, Deadline reports. "You'll see the most brilliant duet between Harrison and Phoebe as they do their wonderful witty dialogue and action and comedy and jeopardy, which they do so wonderfully," Williams explained about the duo's dynamic.

Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny will conclude a 42-year-long epic following Ford's emblematic character. Though the actor will not be involved in other installments moving forward, other partakers in the franchise are open to continuing the legacy. When asked about returning to play Short Round, Quan said that though that is a question for Lucas and Spielberg, he still loves the character and would love to see him following in Indy's footsteps.

Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny will whip its way into theaters on June 30, 2023
