Venom Sacs are one of the many different crafting materials in Hytale, and they're also one of the main ones players will need to get in order to level up their early crafting benches and gear. These aren't terribly hard to get, but since they drop only from specific enemy types, Venom Sacs can be tricky to obtain if you don't know where to go or what to look out for.

How to Get Venom Sacs in Hytale
Venom Sacs are dropped by poisonous enemies, mainly by the giant spiders you find in forests and inside caves. They're not terribly hard to beat, but every time you get hit by one, you're going to get poisoned; your health will slowly tick away, so you'll want to avoid getting hit as much as possible.
If you die, you'll lose some stuff in your inventory, and your gear will lose durability, forcing you to repair them sooner and lose even more durability.
One of the best places to get Venom Sacs is inside underground spider nests. You'll know you've found one once you spot a whole bunch of webs littered about. There are usually a number of Cave Spiders inside, so you need to be extra careful. The tight spaces inside caves can mess up your positioning and get you surrounded, and if multiple Cave Spiders are chowing down on you, you're likely to die to either their bites or their poison.
Before you go searching for spiders, make sure to upgrade your backpack first so you can carry more items.
Arachnophobia Mode
The spiders in Hytale can look pretty freaky, and if you can't stand the sight of them, you can turn on Arachnophobia mode to replace all spiders with giant crabs. To do this, go to the main menu, then click the Settings button. Arachnophobia mode is under the Accessibility section of the Gameplay tab, You can also toggle this while you're in-game, but the setting won't apply until you've gone back to the main menu.
Alternate Venom Sac Sources
Venom Sacs also drop from snakes, which you can randomly find above ground. They have a tendency to spawn in forest biomes, though we've had plenty of luck finding snakes near swamps. Much like spiders, snakes are poisonous too, but thankfully, they're often found alone, so getting swarmed shouldn't be an issue.
Venom Sac Uses
You'll need Venom Sacs to upgrade a Blacksmith's Anvil and craft various pieces of the Thorium armor set. Keep in mind that workbench upgrades are applied individually, so if you want multiple upgraded workbenches, you'll need to upgrade them all one by one.
