Hytale has many secrets for players to uncover, and one of the most well-guarded is the Underwater Caves, a special type of POI only available while exploring the depths of the seas. But swimming around without drowning is a challenge by itself, not to mention diving and exploring the sea floor.

So, if players want to learn how to find and access Underwater Caves in Hytale, they should check out this full guide that explains where they can spot these special locations, how to enter and exit them safely, and most importantly: all the loot they can find inside them.

Where To Find & How To Access Underwater Caves in Hytale

Underwater Caves are randomly spawned, like most of the POIs in Hytale, only that they appear in big lakes or near the coast (or islands). These will have a characteristic 'wall of dark blue water' that players need to cross to be able to access.

These blocks of special water are actually a flow of current that goes inside the caverns, and can be climbed up and down to access these reservoirs of special materials.

But the problem is how to spot them without drowning. Hytale doesn't allow players to dive for too long underwater, and the 'breath' (oxygen) bar goes down really quickly.

Ideally, players would want to swim near the surface, then dive a little and look around the coastal areas for these characteristic patterns in the water blocks to discover the location of an Underwater Cave.

How to Enter Underground Caves In StarRupture

Want to dive into those intrincante Cave Networks below Arcadia-7? Here's how to enter Underground Caves in StarRupture.

Inside these POIs, players will find all types of Coral, Seashells, Kelp, and of course, Ice (which is one of the main ingredients for the Slow Totem).

Players can also find the elusive Azure Kelp, needed to fabricate Portals inside these caves, as well as the Spiral Wood Logs and Spiral Tree Fruits, which can only be found in these special POIs.

Remember that accessing these caves often leads to landing on blocks that might shatter under the weight of the player, creating natural traps. If players are not careful, they can take tons of fall damage, so bring lots of Health Potions and recovery items.

Underwater Caves can also contain ruins of ancient civilizations, which are plagued with Undead and some of which might drop Essence of Ice, another of the items required to craft the Blue Crystal Staff, one of the Magic Weapons in Hytale.

It is worth noting that streams of water can be used as ladders to enter and exit underwater caves. That way, players can avoid taking fall damage or landing on brittle ice. Landing on water ponds inside the caves will also cushion the fall, preventing players from being hurt. But be careful, as not all water ponds inside the caves are deep enough to prevent fall damage.
