Eternal Seeds are a special seed type in Hytale that function a bit differently compared to regular seeds. Players may encounter these seeds when harvesting their crops or in chests, and may be wondering what they are and how they work.
This guide covers everything there is to know about Eternal Seeds, including what makes them better than regular seeds, how they make farming in Hytale much more efficient, and how you can get them. Here are the details.
How to Find Azure, Blood, and Storm Petals in Hytale
Azure Petals, Blood Petals, and Storm Petals are crafting ingredients required to level up a Farmer’s Workbench to Tier 9 and Tier 10 in Hytale.
What are Eternal Seeds in Hytale?
How Do Eternal Seeds Work?
Eternal Seeds are a special type of seed in Hytale that do not break when they are harvested, but start regrowing from scratch. When an Eternal Seed completes its growth cycle and reaches maturity, it can be harvested just like any other seed. However, when a player does so, instead of being consumed as a regular seed would be, Eternal Seeds remain planted in the ground, re-entering their growth cycle. Hence the name Eternal.
When planted, Eternal Seeds have a neon green aura around them to highlight their special nature.
The benefit of Eternal Seeds is clear. Using them, you can create permanent crops that regrow forever, giving players access to a renewable source of a certain plant or vegetable that they can plant once and then never have to worry about it again. Of course, to balance this out, they are a lot harder to get than regular seeds.
If you break the Eternal Seed or the block it is planted on, an Eternal Seed Bag will drop on the ground that you can pick up.

How to Get Eternal Seeds in Hytale
There are two ways to get Eternal Seeds in Hytale:
- Harvest regular crops until an Eternal Seed drops.
- Unlock Eternal Seed recipes by collecting memories.
Getting Eternal Seeds From Regular Crops
Every crop in Hytale has a small chance of dropping an Eternal Seed of the corresponding type when it is harvested after reaching maturity. The minuscule drop chance means that if players want to get a certain Eternal Seed, they’ll want to plant a lot of the normal variant of that crop in their farm and hope for it to drop.
Unlocking Eternal Seed Recipes
Eternal Seed recipes can only be unlocked by restoring memories at the Heart of Orbis in the Forgotten Temple in Hytale. Every time you hit a memory collection milestone, new Eternal Seed recipes become available at the Farmer’s Workbench. The following table details all Eternal Seed recipes and when they unlock.
