Hydroneer players will quickly discover that the path through the game lies underneath the ground of the different mining areas. Digging and refining the ores in these areas helps players earn more money and purchase better equipment to improve their mining operations. Along the way, players will even open up the ability to craft weapons and jewelry.

Where to Get an Anvil in Hydroneer
Players will quickly become familiar with the different towns across the small, open world of Hydroneer. Within two of these locations, Bastion Keep and Bridgepour, players can find anvils at their respective equipment stores. One anvil costs 86 hydrocoins, the in-game currency that players can earn by selling ore, weapons, and jewelry.
To operate an anvil, however, players are going to need much more equipment than this. On top of that investment in an anvil, players need to purchase a blacksmithing hammer (105 hydrocoins), a small furnace (86 hydrocoins), a casting mold (42 hydrocoins), and a crucible (18 hydrocoins).
The small furnace heats up the crucible which melts the raw ore into a liquid. This can then be poured into the casting mold to form the bars of ore essential for crafting with an anvil.
How to Use an Anvil in Hydroneer
Once players have bars of ore ready and available, they need to place their anvil by left-clicking a viable position after picking it up with the E key. Interacting with a placed anvil by left-clicking again will bring up one of six recipes on the top of this item.
In contrast to the anvil in Minecraft, players can make three different types of weapons and three different types of jewelry with anvils in Hydroneer.
|
Dagger |
1 Hot Iron Bar |
|
Axe |
2 Hot Iron Bars |
|
Sword |
3 Hot Iron Bars |
|
Bracelet |
1 Hot Gold Bar |
|
Ring |
1 Hot Gold Bar and any cut gem |
|
Necklace |
2 Hot Gold Bars and any cut gem |
Select the recipe that is desired, place the materials needed to complete it on the top of the anvil, and then strike the anvil with the blacksmithing hammer to create the product.
These items sell for a significant amount of hydrocoins, Hydroneer's in-game currency, and, fortunately, are worth all this effort. Something to keep in mind for players is that every bar of ore needs to be hot while it rests on the top of the anvil.
Hydroneer is available now on PC.
