Sitting back and resting or sleeping tends to be a great way to gain back to health, stamina, or simply skip through the night in many survival games. There are various ways to interact with the environment in HumanitZ, but players will soon figure out that they can't interact with beds in homes to rest.

How to Get a Shovel in HumanitZ

If players want to build themselves a farm in HumanitZ, they'll have to get their hands on a shovel - here's how.

This guide will tell players how sleeping works in HumanitZ, explaining how they can rest and how it'll affect their gameplay - whether it'll replenish any of their stats or skip time.

How to Sleep in HumanitZ

Players will have to sleep sooner or later in HumanitZ. Otherwise, their character will start to feel tired, and a negative moodlet will appear. Feeling tired will affect the player's vitals negatively, meaning their stats will decrease at a faster pace.

There are plenty of ways to find some rest in HumanitZ:

  • Open the Emote Wheel (Z) and select the "Sleep" emote. The player's character will then lie on the ground and rest.
  • Build a bed. To do this, open the Build Menu, open the Other tab, and make a bed using 10 Wood and 20 Nails.
  • Put down a tent or a sleeping bag and rest inside.

Besides being a necessary part of the game to avoid feeling tired, players can also sleep to speed through some parts of the night. Between 9 PM and 6 AM, time will go significantly faster if the player is sleeping. It is impossible to skip time entirely this way, but at least it allows players to fast forward through the night.

However, if players go to sleep before 9 PM, time will not speed up once the clock strikes the hour. They must make sure that they go to bed sometime between 9 PM and 6 AM to get the clock to move faster.

When players hear the clock tick, it means that time is moving faster.

How to Skip Time in HumanitZ

As mentioned above, it is not possible to skip through the night entirely in HumanitZ. However, there is a console command in HumanitZ that allows players to quickly reach a specific point in the day without having to wait for time to pass.

To change the current time of day, players must open the chat box (ENTER), input the code "/adminw" to open the Admin Menu, and then either select "Time-" or "Time+" to go back or forward in time. Players can hit the reset button at any time to get time to return to its normal speed. Once done, they can press Esc to go back to the game.

The video below shows how to sleep through the night as well as how to change the current time with console commands.
