One of your main goals in Umamusume Pretty Derby is to help your horsegirls win the URA Finale finals. But it’s not that simple, as they'll need three full years of training just to qualify. Even then, they still have to pass the semifinals and take first place in the final race.
If your horsegirls miss any key race or fail to hit their career targets, their run ends right there, and so does your job. So, winning the URA Finale isn’t just about bragging rights as a trainer; it also helps you build a strong veteran Umamusume team. For those interested, here's how to win the URA Finale in Umamusume Pretty Derby.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Complete Training Guide
For those wondering how to train Umamusume: Pretty Derby and complete their careers, here’s a simple guide that walks you through each step.
How to Win URA Finale in Umamusume Pretty Derby
To win the URA Finale in Umamusume Pretty Derby, make sure your horsegirl’s unique skill is upgraded, she has strong support cards and a good legacy team, trains smartly on the right attributes, and builds skills that match her profile.
Some characters, like Haru Urara and Sakura Bakushin O, are easier to grab that URA Finale Trophy with. But whether it’s your first try overall or just your first time with a new girl, a few smart moves can really tip the odds in your favor. Here’s what helps:
- When building your support card team, lean toward speed-type cards since speed is the core stat for most races. Then, toss in a few Wit-based cards to improve race tactics and recovery. That way, she’ll gain both speed and wit stats just by training with those same racers during her career.
- Pick the legacy Umamusume who can pass down the aptitudes, stats, and skills you’re aiming to build. Ideally, these should match your horsegirl’s own strengths. For example, if she has an A rank in Mile-distance races, a legacy parent who sends sparks in that same field is going to improve her performance big time.
- Leveling up your horsegirl’s unique skill can greatly improve her racing style. To do this, you’ll need her Star Pieces to unlock stars from her profile. Make sure you collect enough before focusing on her unique skill upgrades.
- Train in Speed more than any other stat, then focus on having her workout where most of her friends (support cards) show up to get the bonus stats along with the regular ones. Prioritize Friendship Training when it’s available.
- Spend skill points only on the abilities she’s already good at (those marked with an A on her profile or Full Stats screen). For example, Meijro Ryan has an A in Late, so buying Outer Swell (Late Surger) makes sense.
Just avoid overspending and wait for skill discounts that pop up after training in red exclamation mark areas.
- If her mood’s off, send her on a recreational outing before training, unless obviously it’s race day. Her mood can easily make or break her run in career matches, especially in the URA Finale finals.
- Resting matters. So, never let her energy dip below halfway. Some races come back-to-back with no time to rest in between, so it’s better to stay ahead of them.
- Position her in races based on where she performs best. If she’s an A-rank Pace Chaser, set her to that role before the race, or vice versa.
- Last but not least, check if she’s eligible for every race. Don’t waste time on training when her fan count’s too low to enter. Instead, enter local races to hit that requirement first.
Once you keep track of all that, reaching and winning the URA Finale gets smoother for any horsegirl. After that, you can update your Veteran Umamusume team with the winners, though not every URA champ hits A-rank, so you’ll have to put in extra work if you’re aiming for the higher tier umas.
