Players can find several items during their expeditions in ARC Raiders that can be broken down and recycled into crafting components or sold for coins that are used to purchase items from traders. Players will need to first figure out which items should be sold or recycled. So, this guide will cover everything from how to recycle and sell items to which items you should prioritize selling/recycling first.
How to Play ARC Raiders Server Slam (& Other FAQs Answered)
ARC Raiders Server Slam is an open beta playtest that you can play right now, here's how to play it and everything else you need to know about it.
How to Sell and Recycle Items in ARC Raiders
During expeditions, players will salvage various crafting components inside buildings, in abandoned structures, and from downed ARC robots. Players can additionally break down some recyclable items to get essential crafting components. Even if they aren't recyclable, these can also be sold from the inventory menu to get some coins.
This adds immense value to a player's time when they're scouring the desolate lands, allowing them to benefit from all and any items found in one way (recycling) or the other (selling). To recycle or sell items in ARC Raiders, you'll first need to open up your inventory. So, scroll to any tab and press one of the following prompts to access the inventory.
- To access your inventory, press the "TAB" key in the Workshop menu on a keyboard.
- The "Select or Back" button on an Xbox Controller
- The "Touchpad Click" on PlayStation controllers.
Now, select an item either from your stash or your character's inventory. After selecting the item, press the "Mouse Right-Click" button on the mouse or the "Y/Triangle" button on the Xbox and PlayStation controllers to open the action menu, respectively. From here, you can either sell an item for coins or simply recycle them to get crafting components.
The same can be done on the loadout screen right before starting a match in ARC Raiders. However, during a raid, you'll only have an option to "Salvage" an item, which will give fewer components compared to "Recycling" in Speranza.
Which Items to Sell or Recycle First in ARC Raiders
Players will be securing a ton of items upon successfully extracting from matches, which can quickly fill up your stash space in ARC Raiders. To avoid needing to spend coins on expanding your stash space early on, you'll need to clear up inventory by either recycling items or selling them in the game.
Almost all items in ARC Raiders can either be sold or recycled, which makes it tough to identify which ones to prioritize first. However, there's a way for players to know which items are meant to be dealt with in one way or the other. Here's how.
- For items that should be recycled in ARC Raiders, you'll see a "Recyclable" tag when you hover your cursor over them. Their descriptions will also only say: "This item can be recycled into XYZ (crafting component name)."
- For items that should be sold in ARC Raiders, you'll see a diamond symbol in their thumbnail image, and they should have a "Trinket" tag associated with them. Selling these will give you the most amount of coins, allowing you to purchase items from traders.
You can check out the "all resources in ARC Raiders" guide to get the complete list of items, resources, and recycled components.
Some items will have "Recyclable" or "Trinkets" in their descriptions, but they might be required to upgrade one of the stations in your Workshop or to train Scrappy. Best to prioritize upgrading buildings in your Workshop before deciding to recycle/sell an item.
