- Download the recovery image from Steam.
- Using Rufus, prepare a bootable USB with the recovery image. For Linux and macOS, use Balena Etcher instead.
- Once the bootable USB is ready, plug it into your Steam Deck via a USB-C hub or adapter.
- Shut down your Steam Deck by pressing the Steam button > Power.
