To play with friends in Payday 3, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the main menu in Payday 3.
  2. Access the Social tab by pressing the menu button on a controller, or the O key on the keyboard.
  3. After accessing the Social tab, players can view their friends. Select a friend to play with and send an invitation by pressing the right stick on a controller or the P key on a keyboard.
  4. Once the invitation has been accepted, the player can play with their friend.

Players can join a friend’s game by following these instructions:

  1. Access the main menu in Payday 3.
  2. Access the Social tab.
  3. Select a friend to play with by pressing Y on an Xbox controller, Triangle on a PlayStation controller, or simply clicking the name on PC.

After joining a friend’s game, players will enter the lobby, where they can change their loadouts.

How to Play with Friends in Payday 3 on a Different Platform

Since Payday 3 has cross-play, gamers can play with their friends on different platforms. Players can enable this feature when it pops up after launching the game for the first time. After enabling cross-play, players will need to create a Starbreeze account before they can play with friends cross-platform

After creating a Starbreeze account, players can play with their friends from different platforms. Interestingly, Payday 3 also allows players to transfer their save to a different platform; of course, they will still need to buy the game again for every platform they intend to play on.

Payday 3 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X.
