As fans progress in Return To Moria, they will find more and more new materials and recipes. One of them is Mithril, and this metal is one of the best in the game. Basically, with Mithril Ingots, players can craft a weapon that can defeat Narag-Shazon, the final boss. Mithril in LotR: Return To Moria is a common material but not easy to find, so this guide will help players prepare the necessary equipment and find this ore.
How to Find Mithril Ore in LOTR: Return To Moria
To begin with, Mithril ore can be mined with Durin's Axe and Quarrymaster. Durin's Axe is divided into 5 fragments that can be found throughout the game. It's not easy to find them, but this tool can clear shadows and mine precious materials, including Mithril.
How to Get Durin's Axe
Here's how to find all the fragments of the tool that once belonged to the first king of Moria:
- In Westgate, on the second floor of the building with two stairs, players will find the first fragment.
- In The Second Hall, there is a hidden door, behind which the second fragment is located.
- On The Bridge of Khazad-dûm, there is rubble, under which the third fragment lies.
- In The Chamber of Mazarbul, there is a chest with the fourth fragment. The chest is guarded by a mighty troll.
- In The Endless Stair, climb up the spiral staircase to find the fifth fragment.
After that, the Durin's Axe must be forged in the Great Forge of Durin using the following materials:
- 1 Fine Leather.
- 3 Durinul Iron Ingot.
- 3 Sun-Stone.
- 4 Ironwood.
To craft Quarrymaster, it is necessary to unlock the Great Forge of Narvi first. After that, it can be crafted using the following materials:
- 1 Black Diamond
- 6 Steel Ingot
- 6 Silver Ingot
- 8 Ubasam Wood
Having the necessary equipment, players can head to the Darkest Deeps in Barazinbar. There, at a depth of about 300 fathoms, they will find the Mithril Mine Shaft. Getting there is difficult and fans will encounter many enemies along the way, but the reward is worth it because a bunch of Mithril ore can be mined there. This ore is easy to spot because of its light bluish hue.
