Inside, they need to cross their fingers to find Sergius Verus, one of the owners of the shop, who is not always there but roaming around the city, so players won't be able to barter with him outside.

Once they manage to find Sergius, they should prepare 5100 Gold (or less, depending on their Merchantry Skill level) to purchase the blade from him. The Akaviri Sunderblade is an enchanted version of the Akaviri Katana, with a dual 100 Weapon/Armor Disintegration Enchantment. This particular combination of traits is what makes this weapon completely overpowered, since it will break enemies' armor and weapons in just one hit.

The Disintegrate Weapon / Armor Spell / Enchantment, depending on its strength, will cause X% of damage to a certain piece of equipment. For example, a 20-point Disintegrate Weapon damage will cause 20% of the weapon's total durability in damage. In the case of the Akaviri Sunderblade, this is turned into a 100% weapon/armor damage on the targeted enemies, causing them to lose the bonus armor and damage their equipment grants them. It is the same as disarming them completely, so players might have guessed already how godlike this weapon is.

Though it is inferior in damage output and effectiveness against opponents that are not humanoid (or those who only carry weapons), the Akaviri Sunderblade is one of the best weapons in Oblivion Remastered, and getting it is quite easy since there are t ons of ways to farm gold in the game.

Best Tips To Use Akaviri Sunderblade In Combat

If players have any of the melee-related classes that use Blades as one of their main skills (Battlemage, Warrior, Crusader, Knight, or Spellsword) they can make good use of the Akaviri Sunderblade for combat. Still, there are a lot of formidable combinations to try and make the most out of the Disintegrate Armor/Weapon Enchantment this blade carries. Here are some examples:

A follow-up hit from Shield Bash after the Akaviri Sunderblade breaks the enemies' weapon/shield will make them unable to respond by blocking, successfully staggering them, and causing full damage.
Enemies will take full damage from Power Attacks after having their armor broken.
Enemies equipped with gear that increases their magical resistance will also become vulnerable to spells when their armor breaks. They will also receive full elemental effects from other weapons if their gear is enchanted with elemental resistances (since enchantments from broken gear won't apply).
The Weakness effect from the Journeyman and Master rank Perks of the Blade Skill will be amplified, since they will be applied to the enemies' base resistance instead of their overall gear's damage reduction, causing even more damage.
Blunt weapons have a considerably better effect on enemies without armor, causing even more staggering. Since broken armor is considered 'no armor,' for the purposes of reducing staggering, a follow-up blow from a Mace, Axe, Warhammer, or Great Axe will be considerably more powerful.
It is advisable to cast Soul Trap on enemies while attacking them with the Akaviri Sunderblade, that way, players can get some return to weapon enchantment per enemy killed, as long as they have Soul Gems in their inventory.

If players still need more reasons to get the Akaviri Sunderblade for their characters, they should know that this is one of the few weapons that have this unique combination of enchantments, though they will need a steady supply of Soul Gems to recharge it. Of course, they can always use Varla Stones to recharge all their enchanted gear.
