It goes without saying that water and Spice are two of the most valuable resources out in the desert of Arrakis in Dune Awakening. Water isn't just required to quench your thirst, but also plays a major role in processing raw materials that will later be crafted for endgame gear. So, it's best to know some of the best techniques to farm large volumes of water to store at your base for all your needs. Here are some of the best ones in the game.
Where to Find Thufir Hawat in Dune Awakening
Thufir Hawat is a trader and a quest-giver for the Atreides faction, here's where to find him in Dune Awakening.
Using An Industrial Dew Scythe to Farm Water in Dune Awakening
One of the best methods to farm water in the Dune Awakening is by using an Industrial Dew Scythe to store water in Decaliterjons. Players will unlock the Industrial Dew Scythe in the aluminum tier, making it a great late-game tool to get tons of water. Since the Scythe will be gathering a lot of water, regular Literjons won't cut it. So instead, you'll need to craft a Decaliterjon, which can store up to 10,000 liters of water.
Now, the method is to drop everything from your character into a chest inside your base and carry three to four Decaliterjons on you. If you can craft and carry more, that's even better. Next, you'll need to wait for dawn, when the sun is almost about to come up. You can view the best time for harvesting inside the wheel in the top-right corner of your screen.
Once the time is right, simply head to a field of dew plants and fire up the Dew Scythe. It'll store thousands of liters of water at a time inside the Decaliterjons you're carrying. Make sure to keep an eye on your battery pack as it might consume quickly. Once you're done with a field, head to the next one.
After the farm is complete and your Decaliterjons are full of water, return to base and deposit all the water inside the water containers.
Fremen Deathstills Are a Great Second Option
Fremen Deathstill requires much less legwork and can generate quite a lot of water in Dune Awakening. When you encounter enemies in the open world, you'll need to press a prompt to carry their corpse inside your bag, which you should deposit inside a buggy or any other vehicular container.
Take the bodies back to the base and deposit them inside a chest for safekeeping. Now, deposit a corpse inside the Fremen Deathstill, and it'll slowly start extracting the water out of the corpse. However, you'll only get the water once the body is fully processed, which can take up to an hour on the regular Deathstill and 50 minutes on the advanced one.
