Although players eagerly anticipate the launch of Season 1 Reloaded, few are happy about the Covert Exfil mechanism. What is Covert Exfil in MW3?

Covert Exfil is a challenging new way for players to escape matches early when deployed. Once a player activates the feature, a helicopter will be called in to fly them out of the match. Note that exfiling via this feature won’t count as a win in the battle royale but as a separate stat known as Covert Exfil. This stat allows players to compete on a leader board for the most successful Covert Exfils.

When a player activates Covert Exfil, it calls in a helicopter to fly them out of the match, ideally if they have a Weapon Case. A Weapon Case spawns at the beginning of every match, and players must fight opponents to secure it. If a player successfully exfils with the Weapon Case in hand, they earn exclusive rewards. There are only 5 Covert Exfils available per match, and they go for a high price, but developers haven’t disclosed the exact price yet.

To obtain a Covert Exfil, players must purchase it at Buy Stations before the Gulage closes. Exfiling with the Weapon Case is crucial since holding it exposes the player’s location to enemies. So, it’s easy for opponents to track you down and kill you and your teammates. Once you obtain a Weapon Case, it’s wise to use the Covert Exfil feature to escape the match before other players track your location down.

Covert Exfil On Hold

The Covert Exfil feature received numerous criticisms from players, stating it was an easy way out to escape the heated battle royale. After several complaints, Call of Duty has decided not to launch it in the standard battle royale when Season 1 Reloaded drops. This also includes the Weapon Case. Instead, they will launch both in another dedicated mode in the future.
