After making your way through most of the battlefields of The First Descendant, you'll eventually get assigned the 'Joining Special Operations' Sub Quest by the robot Descendant instructor at Albion.

The quest description reads: "Through Special Operations Terminal, join the Special Operation in the Sterile Land. At a minimum, reach the first Interim Review."

  • Target: Complete the First Interim Review at the Mine Blockade site in the Sterile Field.

The first thing to know about completing this quest is that you actually need to commence the operation from Albion. Don't just fast-travel to Sterile Land. A specific terminal at the base is meant for Special Operations like this one.

We'll have a picture of the location on the map below, but from the teleportation point in Albion (the space you land in when you fast travel in), run straight for a second and then turn left to find a group of machines near the mailbox.

There's a terminal on the left glowing orange, but you want the one on the right, which glows yellow and is shaped like a sphere. Interact with it, then choose the Sterile Land, Block Kuiper Mining operation.

Knowing what is coming next in a game can build up hype and interest among a player base. This is where a roadmap for a game shines.

By 

Once you start the mission, you'll face off against waves of enemies to have a chance at some neat rewards, like an Amorphous Material Pattern, Shape Stabilizer Form, Gold, and more. It's worth noting that you only need to complete the first section of the operation to finish the Sub Quest.

You can keep going further into the waves of monsters to increase the reward output. But once you finish that first part, you can return to Albion and speak to the Descendant Instructor to wrap it up.
