Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has many survivors for Frank to find throughout the mall that need to be led back to the safety of the security room. Survivors can also act as temporary followers that can greatly help when dealing with large groups of enemies by being an extra pair of hands for fighting or an extra gun.
Otis will often call Frank with people he finds on the security cameras which become notifications the player can track down. At 10 PM on the first day, Otis will call about two Japanese Tourists in a bookstore; here's how to speak to them and save them.
How To Save The Japanese Tourists In Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
After getting the call about the Japanese Tourists; Frank will need to head to the western section of the mall to Wonderland Plaza. On the second floor will be Sir Book-a-lot, and upon entering the Japanese Tourists will be along the back right section of the store, but will run from Frank thinking he is a zombie. To be able to talk to them, head behind the counter along the right side of the store where players can find the book on Japanese conversation.

While holding this book, Frank will be able to talk to the Tourists, who have now run out of the store to go next door. Head out of the bookstore and follow the walkway to the right to find the tourists who can now be interacted with. Doing so will cause Frank to suddenly speak Japanese and convince the Japanese tourists to follow him to safety.

Should You Keep The Japanese Book
Once both of the Japanese Tourists, Yuu and Shinji, have agreed to follow Frank, you can get rid of the Japanese Book, as it is taking up a precious inventory slot. Yuu and Shinji will still understand and follow Frank's Survivor commands, and the information they talk about while running through the mall will still be translated for the player.
After getting both survivors to follow you, head out of the purse store and take another right to find a sporting goods store that has golf clubs and baseball bats that can be given to both survivors to greatly help their chances of reaching the other side of the mall to the security building.
Move along the walls in the park if the prisoners are still alive and active as they can quickly kill these survivors.
