Visions of Mana: How Saving Works

When you first boot up Visions of Mana, the game will show you a message on-screen stating that auto-save will occur frequently, dictated by an icon on the bottom-right corner of the screen showing 'Now Saving...'

And like most video games with an auto-save system, Visions of Mana will record your progress during key moments in the story; however, for those wondering, there is still a way to manually save your game in Visions of Mana, but you won't be able to do it until you get through the prologue section, which has you fleeing the village with Lyza, an Alm.

How Do You Save Manually in Visions of Mana?

In the starting area, Tianeea, the Fire Village, you will find some sparkles near the Item Shop. This is called a Meridian, and you'll need to interact with it to activate it. You can use these points to manually save your game progress or to return to the title screen if you want to quit your session.

You can also use the save points to Fast Travel to other Meridians you've unlocked, as long as they're on the same continent.

You'll also be able to see some important information, such as your total playtime, character level, and the chapter you're currently on. You can even delete a saved game file from this menu.
