Fallout 4 is one of Bethesda's biggest games to date, so it comes as no surprise that the modding community for the game is alive and well. Players have a ton of options when it comes to the mods they want to download for the game, and with the release of the largest mod to date, Fallout London, players have even more to look forward to.

This mod was created by Team FOLON, which is a group of modders (some professionals and some hobbyists) who have come together to create this DLC-sized mod for the game. It features the entire city of London, where players can meet new characters and NPCs all voiced by voice actors. Additionally, it also offers some amazing quests and new items. Here's how to down and play the mod.

How To Play Fallout London

In order to play Fallout London, players need to have all the DLCs for the game downloaded. Here's a guide to help any players who are wondering the best order to play the DLCs. (However, the High-Resolution Texture Pack is not required but is compatible with the mod.) This includes the following:

  • Fallout 4
  • Automatron
  • Contraptions Workshop
  • Far Harbor
  • Nuka World
  • Wasteland Workshop
  • Vault-Tec Workshop

Once you have all these DLCs installed, you will then need to ensure that your Fallout 4 game has been downgraded to the version before the next-gen update. The mod is not compatible with this update, so players cannot have it installed if they want to play it. While doing this can take some time, here is a step-by-step guide on how to ensure that your game has been downgraded to the previous version.

The major reason players have been having difficulties with the mod is that they have the next-gen update installed, which is not compatible with that mod.

How To Install Fallout London On Steam & GOG

The mod is available for both the Steam version and the GOG version of the game (unfortunately, the Epic Games Store is not included in this). In order to download it from Steam, players first need to make sure they have version 1.10.163.0 of the game. As mentioned above, there is a step-by-step guide to downgrade to this version, but Team FOLON actually released a mod via Nexus Mods that makes it easier. After running the Team FOLON Downgrade, follow these steps.

  1. Select the Fallout 4 folder on your PC (automatically "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4").
  2. Log into your Steam account.
  3. Follow the prompts on the screen.
  4. Allow the downgrader to run.

From there, you can just download Fallout London from GOG and start it (it doesn't matter if you're using Steam or GOG to play Fallout 4; you'll want to download the mod from GOG). From there, you can play the game and the mod!
