Getting Ribbons in Battlefield 2042 is a great way to accelerate your account's progress. The majority of players will likely end up getting these mid-match just by playing regularly, but if you want to make the most out of this mechanic, you'll need to know how they work and what exactly they provide. Wingman Ribbons, for example, are very easy to get, but they're also easily overlooked.

Gunning for ribbon rewards is something that all BF2042 players should be doing, especially those who want to level up or get battle pass rewards as soon as possible. In this short guide, we'll be covering the best ways to get Wingman Ribbons and the rewards you can get from them.

Here is how players can earn all the exclusive rewards for Battlefield 6 while playing Battlefield 2042.

Getting Wingman Ribbons in Battlefield 2042

BF2042 Damage Assist

You can get Wingman Ribbons by performing assists of all sorts. As long as you end up helping teammates take down enemies, you'll earn some progress toward getting a Wingman Ribbon.

The best way to get Wingman Ribbons in BF2042 is to use a Support Specialist. Reviving teammates counts towards Wingman Ribbon progress, and since Supports can revive all teammates and not just squadmates, they'll have an easier time getting these ribbons compared to everyone else.

The Support class has always been the best at earning points and ribbons across all Battlefield games, though this is even more applicable in BF2042 since players have a much larger degree of freedom when it comes to their loadout. If you want to get the most number of Wingman Ribbons in one match, follow these tips:

  • Use Falck so you can heal and resupply teammates at the same time without changing your loadout.
  • Stay near the frontline or any big blob of allied players.
  • Bring Smoke Grenades so you can block the enemy's sight. This is great for reviving exposed teammates.
  • Use an LMG and fire at the general direction of enemies near friendly players. This can net you some suppression and kill assists.

Wingman Ribbon Rewards

BF2042 end of game ribbons

Like all other ribbons, Wingman Ribbons reward players with a decent chunk of XP. Ribbons are awarded in tiers, and once you get your first T1 Wingman Ribbon, you'll get 1000 XP. As you continue to rack up assists, you'll earn the second and third Wingman Ribbon tiers, which will reward you with 500 XP each.

Earning Ribbons is a great way to boost the amount of XP you gain. If you want to level up fast in BF2042, you'll want to get at least one of every ribbon during a match. For reference, all Battlefield 2042 ribbons include:

  • Wingman Ribbon: Score assists.
  • Combat Ribbon: Score kills or destroy vehicles.
  • Objective Ribbon: Capture, defend, or hold objectives.
  • Logistics Ribbon: Heal, repair, or resupply teammates.
  • Intel Ribbon: Spot enemies or disrupt them by destroying drones or using EMPs.

By getting one of each ribbon, you'll get at least 5000 bonus XP by the end of a round. If you play well and get all ribbons to T3, you'll get 10,000 bonus XP. This isn't as hard as it sounds so long as you focus on the objectives listed above.
