Demon Wedges form the backbone of builds in Duet Night Abyss. They give additional stats and effects to your characters and equipment, making them essential for scaling up into the late-game. Despite their importance, Demon Wedges aren't really that significant early in Duet Night Abyss, but once your DPS starts falling off, you'll want to start farming and upgrading your wedges ASAP.
Where to Get Demon Wedges in Duet Night Abyss
There are a few ways to get Demon Wedges, but the most reliable one is through the Noctoyager Manual in the Combat menu. Here, you'll find commissions that reward you with Demon Wedges upon completion.
Demon Wedges come in different rarity tiers, and higher-level commissions drop better wedges. Some of them also come with powerful effects that lower-tier wedges don't. We recommend farming Demon Wedges only after you make enough progress in Duet Night Abyss. Level 40 commissions are a good place to start.
Demon Wedges can also be obtained through quests, boss fights, and events.
Gold Demon Wedges
Gold is the highest rarity that a Demon Wedge can have, and unlike the lower-tier wedges, these ones must be crafted. You can get blueprints for gold Demon Wedges through a variety of ways:
- Purchase and use Secret Letters from the shop
- Complete Chase bounties in the Combat⇾Bounty Commissions menu
- Complete level 70-80 Noctoyager commissions
If you're going with the Secret Letter method, know that it works the same as how you would unlock characters in Duet Night Abyss. You need to buy or farm Secret Letters, then complete Demon Wedge Covert Commissions and hope that you get the item you need.
Once you get a Gold Demon Wedge blueprint, go to Lunosmith in Sanctuary, then collect the materials needed to make the wedge.
Upgrading Demon Wedges in Duet Night Abyss
To upgrade a Demon Wedge, select one from the Armoury screen, then click on Upgrade. You'll need both Coin and Carmine Globules in order to level up your Demon Wedge, but more importantly, your wedge's Tolerance cost will go up with every additional level it receives.
Coins and Carmine Globules can be obtained through commissions found in the Combat menu.
How Does Tolerance Work in DNA?
Tolerance is essentially the cost of equipping a Demon Wedge. Every character and weapon has a maximum Tolerance cap that limits the kinds of Demon Wedges you can equip. This means you can't just fill your slots with high-cost Demon Wedges, though there's a way to work around this.
There are items called Track-Shift Modules that let change the Track of one of your Demon Wedge slots. You'll notice that some wedges have symbols on them — if you place them in a slot with a Track that matches their symbol, that Demon Wedge's cost will get cut down by half.
You can get Track-Shift Modules by purchasing them from the shop, crafting them from Lunosmith once you get a blueprint, or by leveling characters and weapons. Take note that characters and weapons use different Track-Shift Modules.
