The Electric/Steel Roly-Poly Pokemon from the seventh generation, Togedemaru, has been available in Pokemon GO since the Test Your Mettle event in late 2022. Why are we writing about this Pokemon in 2024, you ask? Well, thanks to the ongoing Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event that ends on July 30, Togedemaru, as well as other Steel-type Pokemon, have increased spawns. And on top of that, Togedemaru's shiny variant will be available in Pokemon GO for the first time.

How to Get Togedemaru in Pokemon GO

Until July 30, 8 pm local time, trainers will have an easier time finding Togedemaru. But that's not the only way to catch this adorable monster during the event.

Togedemaru will also appear in 1-Star Raids alongside Pawniard, Skarmory, and Klink. Aside from that, the critter will act as a reward encounter for completing various Research Tasks... Such as:

Strength of Steel Timed Research
- Complete the 'Power up Steel-type Pokemon 15 times' task.
Field Research Tasks
- Complete the Catch 10 Steel-type Pokemon, Explore 2 km, and Power up Steel-type Pokemon 5 times tasks.

Togedemaru is weak to Fire, Fighting, and Ground; it's resistant to Electric, Ice, Poison, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, and Fairy.
