In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Smithscript Axe is a weapon of the Axe weapon type. What makes it different from conventional axes is that it can be used as a ranged weapon. Once thrown, another copy of the weapon remains in your hands, allowing for both melee and ranged combat options.

The Smithscript Axe can be upgraded using Smithing Stones to +10, making it a danger to those allergic to a sharp axe's edge in the face.

The Smithscript Axe's Ash of War is Wild Strikes, which costs 2 FP to use. It is a powerful combo if you can catch the enemy off guard and keep the pressure up.

To get the Smithscript Axe in Shadow of the Erdtree, you must first get to the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace in Scadu Altus. From there, head up north to locate Taylew's Ruined Forge.

After entering the dungeon, head down some stairs and take the nearby level. From here, jump over the gap and go through the opening on the left. There will be a golem here; either defeat it or avoid it, but remember to grab the Smithscript Axe on the corpse at the back before leaving. In addition to this weapon, players can also grab the Smithscript Greathammer and Smithscript Shield as well.
