Hisuian Growlithe and its evolution, Hisuian Arcanine, were introduced in 2022's Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as new (old) regional forms for the iconic Kantonian duo. Both of the Fire/Rock-type Pokemon are available to get during The Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration event in Pokemon GO, but not as a regular ol' spawn.

How to Get Hisuian Growlithe in Pokemon GO

During Pokemon GO' s Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration event ending on July 13, there are three ways to encounter a Hisuian Growlithe:

The first way to find a Hisuian Growlithe is to battle it in 1-Star Raids. There's also a chance for the Pokemon to be shiny. The other two Pokemon that appear in 1-Star Raids for the event are Unown U and Hisuian Sneasel.
The second way is to complete the Field Research Task for catching 20 Pokemon. You'll have a 50% chance of encountering a Hisuian Growlithe or a Hisuian Sneasel.
And the third way to encounter a Growlithe is by using your Daily Adventure Incense item. This is given to players for free once a day (midnight local time) and can be used from your item bag. This is different from a regular Incense, as it gives you rare, unexpected Pokemon, like Hisuian Growlithe, that typically don't show up as spawns. It usually lasts for 15 minutes, but during the current season, the time is doubled.

If you're trying to complete the Hisui Celebration Collection Challenge: Shock, Flame, and Spike, you will need to not only find and catch a Hisuian Growlithe, but you'll also need to evolve it into an Arcanine. It's also worth noting that if you're reading this after the event, you should still be able to encounter Growlithe using the Adventure Incense.

How to Evolve Hisuian Growlithe into Arcanine in Pokemon GO

Simply enough, you just need to feed your Hisuian Growlithe 50 Growlithe Candy to watch it evolve into an Arcanine. To get the most Candy as fast as possible, make sure to set a Growlithe as your buddy Pokemon and use Pinap berries for extra during encounters.
