Roblox’s Grow a Garden has plenty of fun mechanics to keep players hooked, like traveling merchant rotations, seed crafting, and more. But one thing that always felt limited was the inventory space for pets, eggs, and cosmetics.
Now that’s been fixed. The devs have added Ascension, a feature that not only gives extra storage but also makes managing gardens a lot easier. And it doesn’t stop there; Ascension comes with even more perks. This guide explains Garden Ascension in Grow a Garden, from earning Garden Coins to spending them in the Coin Shop.
How Garden Ascension Works in Grow a Garden
As mentioned above, Garden Ascension lets you unlock plenty of useful upgrades in Grow a Garden, such as extra inventory slots, new fences, and even additional garden plots beyond the usual two.
Each Ascension gives you 10 Garden Coins to spend in the shop. After that, you’ll need to wait 3 hours and 59 minutes in real time before you can ascend again.
How to Get Garden Coins in Grow a Garden
To get Garden Coins in Grow a Garden, you’ll need to Ascend by heading to the Garden Coin Keeper NPC to the right of the Seeds and Sell Stuff shops, interacting with him, and selecting the “I want to Ascend” option.
He’ll then show you the requirements, which always include two things: Sheckles and a fruit. Sometimes the fruit needs a specific mutation, meaning you’ll have to grow it yourself to qualify.
Once you have both the Sheckles and the required fruit, confirm the process in the Garden Coin Keeper’s Ascension tab. Doing this will complete one Ascension and reward you with 10 Garden Coins.
Previously, when the shop first dropped, the NPC would take all your Sheckles in exchange for 10 Garden Coins. Thankfully, that’s been patched; now he only asks for a few trillion (or more) depending on how many times you’ve ascended. With each Ascension, the requirement increases by 2 trillion Sheckles.
