Kaiju No. 8 The Game has a lot of different resources for players to farm to upgrade their characters and gear, though there is only one currency used at the account level to purchase Gacha Pulls. Dimensional Crystals are separated between the paid version and the free version, with there being all sorts of ways for getting free ones.

While you can earn Gacha tickets through events or completing specific missions, farming Dimensional Crystals is the most important thing players can do. Here are all the different ways to get Dimensional Crystals to help make sure players aren't accidentally leaving any on the table.

Every Way to Get Dimensional Crystals in Kaiju No 8 The Game

The Missions Menu in the Home Screen

Completing Story Missions, Memories, and Character Stories

These missions are all limited, though their payoff and relative ease to complete make them great options for farming Crystals, especially early on. Many of these missions, early on, will also help act as a tutorial for players, getting them up to speed on the world and mechanics of the game before exploring everything else. These missions can be replayed, but the rewards are only a one-time thing.

Play Rank Up Rewards

Every time your player rank increases, you can click on your rank in the top left corner of the home page to claim rewards for leveling up. These rewards will slowly get better and better over time, though they will just about always include Dimensional Crystals. These rewards will also include Gacha tickets and upgrade materials, making it something players should always keep an eye on.

Mail & Messages

Mail is sent directly to players from the game's development team, and while it's not a reliable way to farm Dimensional Crystals, it should always be opened once delivered, as it usually contains rewards. Messages are texts sent from various characters directly to Kafka. These messages are usually just adding favor to the characters, but Dimensional Crystals are given for reading through them.

Trial Battles

Whenever a new character is introduced, a Trial Battle can be done to let players test them out. While it's fun to see what you can potentially be using one day, completing these battles will also reward you with Dimensional Crystals.

Rewards For Achievements

There are over 100 achievements for players to complete while playing, with most of them happening randomly while completing usual tasks. As you get achievements, be sure to go to the Achievements menu and get the rewards for hitting achievements, which are always Dimensional Crystals, depending on how rare the achievement is.

Special Requests

Special Requests will periodically become available and are their own type of story mission that is optional. While optional and usually short and easy to finish, these rewards for completing these is better than any other single activity on this list.

What Are Dimensional Crystals Used for In Kaiju No 8: The Game

The Special Request Menu With Two Open

At the time of writing, the only use for Dimensional Crystals is to purchase Gacha pulls, and that should be done as often as possible. You always have the chance of getting better characters, and getting the same characters or weapons multiple times lets you Awaken them to make them much stronger than any normal upgrade. Having multiple powerful characters to choose from will also come in handy later on when you need to make squads that perfectly counter difficult bosses.
