Players can find plenty of natural resources scattered throughout the tropical island in Coral Island. Similar to other farming life games, it's important that players gather as many resources as possible in the early stages of the game. This is because as the game progresses, collecting these materials gets harder and requires more effort.
One such essential resource in Coral Island is coal. Coal is a lightweight black material that is useful for crafting different materials. When they first move to the island, players may find it hard to get their hands on coal. However, with this guide, they can learn how to effectively farm coal in Coral Island.
How to Get Coal in Coral Island
Coal can be obtained by using a pickaxe to break rocks all around the island and inside the Cavern. Additionally, players should also try breaking any boxes they find in the Cavern, as there’s a decent chance for them to contain coal inside them.
However, the most effective and reliable way to farm coal is to craft it from scratch. To do so, players need access to a Kiln. A Kiln is a type of resource equipment that can process wood into coal. It can be crafted when players reach Foraging Level 2. The materials needed to craft a Kiln are 25 Stones and 20 Bronze ores.
Once they have access to a Kiln, players can throw in 4 pieces of Wood and allow it to burn for 30 minutes. After the time is up, the islander can collect 1 freshly made Coal from the Kiln.
Players can bomb the trees growing on their farm to collect lots of wood.
Alternatively, if this is too much of a hassle, players can simply head over to the Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith shop and purchase coal for 90 gold coins.
Uses of Coal
Coal can be used in a variety of ways in Coral Island. The primary use for coal is to smelt metal bars in the furnace. A furnace turns metal ores into their equivalent bars.
