What Does Razor's Edge Do in MH Wilds?

Razor's Edge in MH WIlds sticks with the Seregios set's affinity for mobility by buffing the Adrenaline Rush skill. When triggered, it extends Adrenaline Rush's duration, and when triggered again with Razor's Edge II, it boosts Adrenaline Rush's damage bonus. The latter only becomes available when wearing four pieces of the Seregios set.

Some things to note about this skill:

Razor's Edge I boosts Adrenaline Rush's duration from 30 seconds to 45 seconds. Triggering it again bumps the duration up to 60 seconds.
Razor's Edge II only triggers after you trigger Adrenaline Rush once.

In order to get the maximum benefit from Razor's Edge, you need to dodge at least two attacks. This shouldn't be an issue if dodging is your main form of damage evasion, but this does pose some unique challenges. The damage bonus from Razor's Edge II is a little vague, but having more Raw Attack is always good.

Is Razor's Edge Any Good?

As mentioned, this is more of a comfort skill, and ironically, it becomes more valuable the worse a player is at dodging attacks. Hunters who are good at dodging will have little need for the bonus duration to Adrenaline Rush, but if you're missing your rolls, the extended duration will give you more leeway to take advantage of Adrenaline Rush before it expires.

As for the damage portion of Razor's Edge, it's just a nice bonus to have. Adrenaline Rush already provides up to 30 Raw Attack when maxed out, and if you want to squeeze out some more damage, then having Razor's Edge II will help. The bonus damage may be insignificant when compared to a bonus like Black Eclipse from Gore Magala, but it can add up with other MH Wilds armor skills to provide a more significant offensive boost.

In summary, Razor's Edge is better when used by players who are bad at dodging. Hunters who are truly skilled (or prefer blocking instead of dodging) should use something else if they want more damage.
