Against the Storm is a city survival-building game that allows players to experience a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by the Blightstorm. Players can explore the aftermath of a wrecked civilization to build itself back up from scratch. In addition, the game focuses on building settlements for different species living together, trying to survive another blightstorm.

Players need advanced machinery and technology to support the needs of society. These help the production of different materials which help the villagers, and one of them is the Rainwater Collector. This machine manufactures several resources that are necessary for living. This guide is focused on helping the players get the Rain Collector.

What is The Rain Collector

Rainpunk Technology is an extremely powerful tool that helps boost the economy by focusing on food production and the infrastructure of a broken society. It also aids players by improving the production speed and fixing many problems faced by their fellow villagers.

How to Get The Rain Collector

against the storm structures

Here are a few ways players can get the Rain Collector in Against the Storm:

The Smoldering Citadel

To get access to the Rainpunk Technology, players must first invest in the smoking citadel. This allows players to upgrade and improve the existing settlements. Players won’t have any interaction with the Rain Collector unless they have the Citadel up and running.

Unlocking Rainpunk Technology

To get the Rain Collector, players need to level up the Obsidian Archive to Lvl 6. Doing so will grant players access to Rainpunk Engines Upgrades. These Upgrades require 118 Food Stockpiles and the Obsidian Archive to be on Level 6. Furthermore, players will also need to finish a certain number of games to unlock it.

How to Get Infused Rainwater

Here’s how players can get infused rainwater:

Rain Collector

Players can look for rainwater in the Rain Collector or the Advance Rain Collector. Rainpunk Technology runs on this water. Here are the types of Rainwaters:

  • Drizzle Water (Green)
  • Clearance Water (Gold)
  • Storm Water (Blue)

When manned, the Rain Collectors will collect the rainwater depending on what season it is. The infused rainwater from one season will be stored separately and won’t affect the other season’s rainwater.

Geysers

In the Glades, players will come across geysers that are considered a great source of rainwater. Each geyser produces a certain type of infused rainwater, and it is scattered randomly across the map. Players will need a geyser pump to harvest rainwater from these geysers. One villager can be assigned to the pump, making it easier to harness them.
