Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree can be very challenging even for veteran players. Despite the added difficulty, players are also given many ways to make their characters stronger beyond rune level to face the various threats found throughout the Realm Of Shadow.
While the best across-the-board upgrade is finding all Scadutree Fragments, there are other consumables players should look to use.
Dragonscale Flesh offers players a massive yet temporary boost that can greatly turn the tides in battle, even with the negative effect; here's how to craft it.

Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree introduces the Light Greatsword weapon type, a powerful (and quick) new weapon for Tarnished to wield.
How To Craft Dragonscale Flesh In Shadow Of The Erdtree
Crafting Dragonscale Flesh first requires Igon's Cookbook [2]. This can be found in the Jagged Peak by starting at the Jagged Peak Mountainside Site of Grace. From here, head east along the cliff and avoid the slimes to find a dead body in the corner at the end of the ledge. With this cookbook, players can craft Dragonscale Flesh using:
Rada Fruit are fairly common and will be easily found throughout the Realm Of Shadow while exploring off main roads. Lumps of Flesh can be found by killing beasts, and Sharp Gravel Stones are potential drops from the slimes you pass on the way to the Cookbook, or throughout the Jagged Peak near dead dragon bodies. Dragon's Calorbloom can also be fairly rare but are also found throughout the Jagged Peak. These flowers have a deep red color and are often found sprouting out of dead bodies.

While losing four HP every second may sound like a lot, it is a small price to pay for what is equal to 32 additional levels. This item is in effect for about a minute and a half, and players can hold up to 10 at a time. The overall benefits of this item far outweigh the negative effects, and those with an already high vigor won't have to worry about the health loss being the death of the player.
In total, players will lose 320 health over the course of 90 seconds for using this item. As long as you are using a melee weapon, you'll at least see some boost in damage, along with a noticeable boost in Vigor and Stamina, which all players can use more of. Overall, the benefits of this item far outweigh the negative effects and should be used whenever possible.
