Fan favorite PS3 games Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number could be coming to PS5 soon, according to new trophy lists that have surfaced online. Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 are two of the most highly rated indie titles on PS3 and PS Vita, and both games could benefit from native PS5 releases.

The PS5 continues to receive new remasters and ports following the console's launch in November 2020. Additionally, the PS Plus subscription service brings classic titles ranging from the original PlayStation console to PS3 nearly every month. Select PS1, PS2, and PSP titles from Sony and third-party publishers are also available for purchase in the PlayStation Store as well. If the new trophy list leaks are true, fans may look forward to playing native versions of Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 on PS5.

A new leak from trophy and achievement tracking website Exophase suggests that Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 are coming soon to PS5. According to the leaked trophy lists, PlayStation fans will be able to earn platinum trophies in both titles once more since the PS5 versions are listed separately from the existing PlayStation versions of the Hotline Miami games. This may be due to a lack of the cross-buy feature, which was available for Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 on PS3, PS Vita, and PS4. However, Hotline Miami series publisher Devolver Digital has not officially announced that PS5 versions are on the way.

Nearly one year after the PC version's launch, the original Hotline Miami game was released in June 2013 for PS3 and PS Vita. Hotline Miami would also come to PS4 during the console's first year out on the market in August 2014, and the game's highly anticipated sequel released the following year in 2015 across all three PlayStation platforms. Both games were also released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox platforms as the Hotline Miami Collection in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 could bring an even better experience to PlayStation fans thanks to the PS5's 4K capabilities and higher frame rate support. If the trophy lists are accurate, Devolver Digital may be preparing to make an announcement on its official social media accounts. Although a new Hotline Miami game has not been announced, the PS5 re-releases could be a promising sign of things to come for Hotline Miami fans.

Hotline Miami is available now for Android, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and Xbox One.
