Boasting awe-inspiring visuals and breathtaking environments, along with new and improved combat mechanics, weapons, and armor, Horizon Forbidden West has set a high bar for future titles of the genre and any potential sequels to come in the Horizon series. Before another mainline installment arrives, however, Horizon Forbidden West has one more move up its sleeve.

On March 21, 2024, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will come to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This means that, unlike its predecessor—which had three gaps between its initial release and the launch of its PC port—Horizon Forbidden West is making the move a year earlier. This is great news for fans of the Horizon series and PC owners, even those who might have already completed the game on PS5.

Hence, expectations are high that Forbidden West will be able to accomplish the same feat. As Horizon Forbidden West is famous for making full use of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive trigger functionality, it's fortunate the PC port will have full support for that as well.

While it's currently unknown whether Horizon Forbidden West will make as big a splash on PC as Horizon Zero Dawn did, it is rather safe to assume as Guerrilla has already proven it is capable of successfully porting games to PC. Today, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition maintains a "Very Positive" rating on Steam and 4.8/5 stars on the Epic Games Store, so the hope is that Horizon Forbidden West will exceed performance expectations and garner positive reception as well.
