Honkai: Star Rail has been generous with giving away free characters in every update, which many fans have commended HoYoverse for. Once Version 2.3 rolls out, players will be able to claim a free Harmony Trailblazer, as long as they've finished the Trailblazer Mission "Jarilo-VI - The Return." Honkai: Star Rail also includes a free 4-star character selector in limited-time events.
Honkai: Star Rail Reveals Memory of Chaos Usage Rate for 2.2
A new Honkai: Star Rail chart ranks the playable characters by their usage rate in the current Memory of Chaos domain for Version 2.2.
For the Version 2.3 events, Honkai: Star Rail will give fans a chance to get free 4-star characters, like Xueyi in Apocalyptic Shadow; Gallagher, Hanya, Luka, and Arlan will be available in Origami Bird Clash. These characters can be claimed as rewards after completing certain stages of the events, which will be great for players who have yet to get to any of these characters or are looking to upgrade existing characters.
Claiming Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3's Free 4-Star Characters Explained
- Xueyi (Quantum, Destruction): Clear Apocalyptic Shadow's Difficulty 2 for the first time to claim Xueyi, as well as 300 Stellar Jades and Self-Modeling Resin.
- Gallagher (Fire, Abundance), Hanya (Physical, Harmony), Luka (Physical, Nihility), or Arlan (Lightning, Destruction): Redeem one of the four characters after completing Fateful Crossings: Origami Bird Clash.
Many Honkai: Star Rail fans are looking forward to Version 2.3 to see the conclusion of the Penacony arc. This update will also feature new 5-star Warp banner characters Firefly and Jade, along with rerun characters Ruan Mei and Argenti.
Apart from new characters and events, Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 will also debut a new location called the Radiant Feldspar, which is a luxury ship sailing above Penacony; and new Relics and Planar Ornament sets.
