Summary
- A new leak reveals Tingyun's new form with a 5-star rarity and Nihility path in Honkai: Star Rail.
- Banner re-runs and new characters like Yunli and Jiaoqiu are part of the ongoing updates.
- Tingyun won't arrive in 2.6 but the leaker debunks the Screwllum rumor for 2.7.
A new Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed more information about a new form for the popular four-star character Tingyun. Honkai: Star Rail has established a pattern of adding at least two new playable characters in each update, spread across the update's two banner cycles.
As Honkai: Star Rail's roster grows with each update, HoYoverse has featured banner re-runs more frequently. The ongoing Version 2.4 has introduced the Destruction user Yunli, whose banner is scheduled to expire around August 21. The second banner phase will feature the Nihility character Jiaoqiu.
Honkai: Star Rail Leaks 2.5 Banner Characters
A Honkai: Star Rail leak reveals the five-star and four-star characters that will appear on the limited banners in the upcoming version 2.5.
While the release of a new main character seems to be the primary focus of each update, many players appear even more excited when an older Honkai: Star Rail character receives a new form. Excluding the Trailblazer's different paths, Honkai: Star Rail has already added two reworked versions of existing characters: Dan Heng and March 7th. A credible leaker known as Team Mew has revealed additional details about the previously rumored form for Tingyun. The leak indicates that the new version of Tingyun will have a five-star rarity and follow the Path of Nihility. This strongly suggests that Tingyun's Nihility version will be introduced as a new five-star character.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Tingyun's New Form and Release Date
Honkai: Star Rail's official storyline has revealed that Tingyun is a young foxian and the vessel of Lord Ravager, one of the main antagonists in the game. Many unknowns still surround this mysterious character, but most of them will likely be addressed once she receives a new form. This would not be the first time HoYoverse has released a rework as a new character, as seen when Dan Heng's awakened form Imbibitor Lunae, was introduced as a brand-new five-star unit.
The leaker has also revealed that Tingyun probably won't arrive in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6, which is scheduled to end in December 2024. This suggests that there is still plenty of time for HoYoverse to make adjustments before her official release. Players will have to wait for Tingyun to be featured in a beta phase to get more information about her new form.
The leaker has also debunked previous rumors about the popular character Screwllum being featured in update 2.7. The only confirmed information about Tingyun's release is that she won't be part of the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail update 2.5, as HoYoverse has already revealed the two five-star characters that will join the server. The update's first part will feature Feixiao, while the second banner cycle will offer Lingsha.
