A Honkai: Star Rail leak revealed that Constance, aka "The Dahlia," who's presumed to be dead, might return as a playable character. The Annihilation Gang member was first introduced in the "A Night of Ever-Flame: Scene 33" cinematic in Honkai: Star Rail, which put the spotlight on Duke Inferno and his loyal followers.
The Annihilation Gang is a faction that follows the Aeon of Destruction, Nanook. Led by Duke Inferno, it pillages different planets in hopes of earning the gaze and favor of Nanook, but to no avail. After being revealed in the cinematic, Honkai: Star Rail fans thought that the Annihilation Gang would become playable in the future, but their hopes were shattered when it was revealed that Acheron attacked the faction and murdered Duke Inferno before the events of the Penacony arc.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Teases Special Anniversary Giveaway
Recent Honkai: Star Rail leaks are hinting at a special giveaway set to coincide with the game's upcoming anniversary celebrations.
With Duke Inferno dead, many also assumed that his followers, including Constance, were gone as well, but it's implied in a Penacony cutscene that they might've escaped Acheron's attack. That being said, a new leak from Luna claimed that Constance might become playable in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.8 under the name Dahlia. No other details, like the Honkai: Star Rail character's potential star level, were revealed about the rumored character and the update is still months away, so fans should take this leak with a grain of salt until HoYoverse makes an official announcement.
Who is Dahlia in Honkai: Star Rail?
In the "A Night of Ever-Flame: Scene 33" cinematic, Dahlia is portrayed as a woman with long black hair, horns, and a devil's tail, and also wearing a sun hat adorned with a black dahlia. Because of her design, the Honkai: Star Rail character is often compared to Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu. Other Annihilation Gang members, such as Akash "The Tuner," Dubra "The Scribe," and Caterina "The Shacklebound," also share some similarities with Resident Evil Village's lords.
Meanwhile, many Honkai: Star Rail fans are skeptical about Dahlia launching in Version 3.8, mostly because major updates usually ended with Version 3.7. HoYoverse previously confirmed that the Amphoreus arc will last until Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.7, but it's still possible that an extra update might come out before moving on to the next planet. It's also possible that the surviving Annihilation Gang members might play important roles in the fifth world as well.
For now, Honkai: Star Rail is focusing on introducing several Amphoreus characters throughout the Trailblazer's adventure within the mysterious planet. So far, many players have barely scratched the surface of Amphoreus' exciting lore, and they can expect more in-game stories and experiences in the coming months.
