A new Honkai: Star Rail leak reveals the model of Phainon's rumored second form. Earlier Honkai: Star Rail leaks teased that Phainon, one of Amphoreus' most relevant characters, could have a different in-game model in future updates.
There are still many mysteries surrounding Amphoreus and the Chrysos Heirs. As Honkai: Star Rail dives deeper into this world, players have shared their excitement to learn more about future playable characters. Two new 5-Star units are joining the roster in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1, Mydei and Tribbie, with the first seemingly playing a key role in the next Trailblaze mission. Another character that has been suggested to have a crucial role in Amphoreus is the fan-favorite Phainon, who is also rumored to become payable eventually. Now, a new leak suggests that players will meet another side of Phainon in later patches.
Honkai Star Rail: Every Rumor About March 7th's 5-Star Form
There are many Honkai: Star Rail rumors teasing March 7th's 5-star form, and the game may pull the trigger during the Amphoreus arc.
A new leak from Shiroha has revealed the model of what seems to be Phainon's highly rumored alternate form. As seen in the leak, the character model is a tall male with light-colored hair and a halo above his head. The model also has gold and dark blue garments, which could reference Amphoreus' day-and-night motifs. Finally, he carries a pair of crooked wings in different colors. The new leak seems to confirm earlier Honkai: Star Rail rumors about Phainon having a second in-game form, potentially as an Elite enemy boss.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Reveals Model of Phainon's Second Form
There is also a chance that Phainon's alleged alternate form could be related to his playable kit, similar to how Robin works in combat. However, it is not uncommon for Honkai: Star Rail characters to have a second in-game form that acts as an enemy. For example, both Sunday and Aventurine have completely different models as foes than as playable units. On the other hand, Phainon's playable release window is rumored for either Version 3.3 or Version 3.4.
While it might be a while before Phainon's playability is confirmed, players can look forward to some confirmed upcoming units. Aside from the mentioned Tribbie and Mydei, HoYoverse has announced the 5-Star characters Anaxa and Castorice for Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.2. There are still a few more Chrysos Heirs in line to join the roster as well, including Cipher and Hyacine. Honkai: Star Rail's next update is set to launch on February 26, with a new explorable area, a new game mode, and various limited events.
