Honkai: Star Rail has finally revealed one of the game's longest-rumored characters, with Fugue confirmed to be coming with the Version 2.7 update as a new version of Tingyun. The roster of the popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse has featured plenty of unique characters for players to choose from, with many having different playable versions. Multiple members of the game's cast of starter characters have seen new forms released, including March 7th's Hunt variant and five-star character Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae. Now, another popular character is set to return to Star Rail in a new way.
Since the earliest days of Honkai: Star Rail's life, one character from the Xianzhou Luofu has been heavily rumored to eventually make a return. Tingyun played a major role in the story of the initial visit to the Xianzhou Luofu, acting as a guide for players and later revealed to be an impostor created by Phantylia. Since her supposed death, numerous rumors have suggested that players may eventually see the real Tingyun added to the game. Now, Honkai: Star Rail's newest announcement has finally confirmed the debut of the real Tingyun.
The newest of Honkai: Star Rail's "drip marketing" posts has officially confirmed the release of Tingyun's real form to the RPG. The teaser dubs the new version of Tingyun as Fugue, referring to her as a "tactful Foxian girl whose name, identity, and appearance were all stolen" within the description. The post also confirms Fugue's Element and Path within the teaser visual, revealing that she will be coming to Honkai: Star Rail as a Fire Nihility character. Fugue is expected to release with Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.7 update, currently rumored to release on December 3.
Honkai: Star Rail Reveals Version 2.7 Character Fugue
Fugue's addition to Honkai: Star Rail's roster is expected to be one of a plethora of highly-touted releases coming to the game in the near future. HoYoverse confirmed another of the game's most highly-anticipated characters will be joining the game in Version 2.7, with the long-awaited release of Penacony character Sunday. Several leaks and rumors have also suggested the existence of a five-star version of Herta planned to come to the game, with HoYoverse recently teasing Herta's real form as well.
The long-awaited additions in Version 2.7 come as HoYoverse recently shared all the details about Honkai: Star Rail's upcoming Version 2.6. The update will see players returning to Penacony, introducing one new playable character in five-star Imaginary Erudition character Rappa. The beloved Simulated Universe game mode will also see its newest expansion during the patch, set to be a major update on the scale of past events like "Swarm Disaster" and "Gold and Gears." Honkai: Star Rail has set up a pair of exciting patches for fans with Versions 2.6 and 2.7.
