A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is presenting plenty of details about the game's upcoming Version 2.6 update, currently expected to launch sometime in October. The massively popular sci-fi RPG has offered plenty for fans to do following the release of its newest world of Penacony earlier this year. HoYoverse has added multiple new permanent game modes to Star Rail throughout the year, including Apocalyptic Shadow and Divergent Universe among others. Now, leaks are hinting at what one of the game's next updates will bring.
While fans only recently welcomed the release of Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.4 update, future content has already begun to trickle out with leaks and official confirmations. HoYoverse revealed Feixiao, Lingsha, and Moze as the featured characters during the Version 2.5 update, while leaks have teased a new boss and an update to Apocalyptic Shadow. Version 2.6 has even seen early leaks, recently suggesting that long-awaited five-star character Sunday may be releasing during the update. The newest leaks are now giving fans their first teasers of what is coming with Version 2.6.

A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail leaker Sakura Haven is showcasing the lineup of content coming with Star Rail's Version 2.6 update. According to the leak, Version 2.6 will see players return to the game's newest world, with new story content in Penacony boasting a similar runtime to Version 2.3's main story. The leak suggests that there will only be one new five-star character featured, with no information about any four-star releases during the patch. The leak also hints at one of the characters being Imaginary element, potentially teasing the previously leaked Sunday.
The leak also includes details about several smaller pieces of content planned to be included with Version 2.6. The post confirms there will be no new event Light Cone during the update, nor will there be a new Light Cone available through the Herta Store. The update will, however, feature a Light Cone through the gacha, as well as a new Relic set available during Version 2.6. The post even suggests that HoYoverse may be starting testing soon for characters coming with the game's next world, expected to launch early next year.
Honkai: Star Rail's upcoming patches look to have plenty of content on the way between new characters and new events. Version 2.4 launched at the end of July, bringing Yunli as Star Rail's newest five-star character alongside a new variant for starter character March 7th. HoYoverse will also debut another five-star character later in Version 2.4, with Jiaoqiu coming as a Fire Nihility character.
